LET'S STOP FOR A MOMENT, LET'S FIGHT AGAINST ALS
What is ALS?
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Motor Neuron Disease, is a neurodegenerative disease that affects the motor neurons of the brain, brain stem and spinal cord , which are the cells responsible for transmitting the order of voluntary movement of the brain to the muscles.
The degeneration of motor neurons causes the brain's ability to initiate and control muscle movement to be lost. As a result, patients experience progressive muscle atrophy, leading to progressive paralysis . Apart from motor autonomy, speech, eating and breathing abilities are also affected.
Why should we give it visibility?
ALS is very unknown and receives little government support. This disease affects between 3 and 5 people per 100,000 inhabitants, and in Spain there are already more than 4,000 diagnosed cases. It is a rare disease, with no cure and fatal.
How do we want to help?
June 21st is World ALS Day. And the Natury team wants to give it visibility throughout the month of June , allocating 3% of our turnover to the Fundació Catalana d'ELA Miquel Valls for research and support for those affected.
In addition, we offer the possibility of donating directly without the need for a purchase. Row 0 available: ES08-2100-3422-1622-1010-3820
